When making changes to your list, you will need to log onto
the LISTSERV List Management main web page. You will then be
modifying your listserv configuration file to better suit your
needs. Below is the information for allowing anyone to send
to your list AND controlling who can subscribe to your list, as
well as the instructions for logging onto the List Management
main page.

0) Log into the list management interface at our web site.
   a. Visit our web site at:
       http://listserv.csufresno.edu
   b. Select the link:
        "Mailing list management interface (list owners only)."
   c. Enter your email address and listserv personal password.

      NOTE: For more information on listserv personal passwords
            and the email address to use, go here:
        http://listserv.csufresno.edu/ListservDocs/owners_web.html#ppasswd

1) How to allow anyone to send email to my list without them
   having to subscribe to the list.
   a. From the list management main page, select the list you want to
      change from the "List name:" box.
   b. Click either the "Configuration" or "Edit list configuration"
      button. Both perform the same function.
   c. Locate the "Send=" keyword.
   d. Change the value of
      Send= Private
      to
      Send= Public
   e. Click the "Update" button

2) How to setup the list so you can control who is allowed
   to join the list and who isn't.

   (You should still be able to edit your list configuration file
    at this point)

   a. Locate the "Subscription=" keyword.
   b. Change the value of
      Subscription= Open,Confirm
      to
      Subscription= By Owner
      or
      Subscription= Closed

   NOTE:
   Subscription= By Owner
      will forward all subscription requests to the owner of the list
      but the owner will not let people on the list without the list
      owners approval.
   Subscription= Closed
      will deny all subscription requests. The list owner will not
      receive any notice when someone attempts to join their list.
      The request will simply be turned down by listserv.

   e. Click the "Update" button

For more information on the keywords in your list's
configuration file, visit this web page:
