Today is officially "Green Juice Day!" We don’t all have juicers lying around, but most of us do have blenders. So today, let’s cheat a little and make it "Green Smoothie Day" instead.

- Make it a full meal: Add less liquid and serve in a bowl with a spoon. Top with berries, granola, and sliced nuts.

Always start with unsweetened bases and avoid using juice. Adding only natural sugars in whole-food form means all the fructose will be accompanied by an appropriate dose of fiber. This helps regulate your blood sugar levels, so you feel satisfied for longer.
Sneak in more veggies. If you don’t naturally enjoy eating greens, this is a great way to increase your consumption. In addition to getting a healthy serving of fiber, you’ll get essential nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, and potassium.
