Greetings CenCal colleagues & members,

In the midst of us finding out which Educational Talent Search Programs have been funded/refunded/ or unfortunately defunded, I received a phone call from COE asking all Chapter Presidents (myself for our region) to find out who received their grants through our senator offices, and therefore send that out once all have been compiled out to our Westop region and COE themselves by chapter. I understood that you should not to send your information out to everyone per the Westop Listserv yet.

Instead, I ask all directors/persons in charge to send me the following:
1) how many ETS programs you wrote for per institution?
2) how many are existing of those and how many are new?
3) where they would serve (regions/high schools)?
4) and if you know, where you just funded/refunded/ or defunded?

I was informed that not all the programs have been notified of where they stand, and thats ok. So for those of you who have not heard officially, I wish the best in this waiting ordeal. But please send me personally as your Cencal president, what you know asap per institution, and then I will contact someone at Senator Boxers office who has graciously said she would get me the full list once I know who wrote for what and how many.

ETS programs being written for CenCal slate are the following:
Cal Poly San Louis Obispo -
CSU Monterey Bay -
CSU Bakersfield -
Fresno City College -
Fresno State -
Modesto City College
National Hispanic University -
Reedley College-
San Jose State -
UC Merced -

If I omitted one or you are a new institution please let me know asap, I'd like to get this list to Senator Boxers office by tomorrow at 1 pm, and thereafter hopefully send something out to our listserve/Westop/COE from there once I hear back from them. Thank you.
