Dear TRIO Colleagues:

The White House has announced that THIS FRIDAY, July 1^st at 12:00 PM EDT, Obama Administration Officials will host a conference call de-briefing the President’s “100 Youth Roundtables” Initiative, outlining his “How to Make Change” youth summer series, and discussing ongoing events on youth employment and entrepreneurship. President Obama will also hop on the call.

This is an exciting opportunity for TRIO students participating to engage the White House and raise issues like:

• The importance of the mentoring, guidance, and counseling they receive from TRIO.
• How TRIO has influenced their decisions about their futures (college, career options, etc.).
• Request that the White House stand behind its pledge to increase TRIO funding.
