Dear California and Pacific Island TRIO Supporters:
During COE's 31st Annual Policy Seminar, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) agreed
to sign onto the TRIO FY12 appropriations request letter. As of today, she has
not. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to call her office at 202-224-3841 and
request that she sign onto letter as soon as possible. (For your convenience, a

Senator indicated that she would be retiring in 2012; as such, she is not
hindered by concerns about the outcome of her next election.
In other news, District 32's Representative, Judy Chu (D-CA), mentioned the
importance of TRIO to Asian and Pacific Islander students during a hearing today
before the House Budget Committee. Please be sure to reach out to Representative
