Good Morning CenCal Members, As we approach our annual CenCal Professional Development Seminar (PDS), October 7 & 8, 2010 we are looking at an effort to get more members of our chapter to attend. As of now, we have about half the number of attendees enrolled compared to last year. Honorable mentions to the SSS programs who have been our top registered numbers as of now. Please make an effort to attend and bring it up in conversation to your director(s) the importance of you attending and collaborating with your fellow Cencal members. I know budgets are tight and programs are busy, short staffed, or not sure of the importance of attending, but we really need everyone to come together even if it is last minute to get our numbers up, give ourselves time to discuss our programs, work collaboratively, and ultimately not make it seem like a low numbered attendance. I know many of you have skimmed through the NorCal and SoCal PDS emails urging their members to attend and they have gone up, and here we are in the same predicament. If you have an idea of a workshop, or would like a workshop offered, by all means contact myself, [log in to unmask] or Ricardo Marmolejo, PDS chair [log in to unmask], and we can work with you that way. As far as lodging, the links are on the web www.westopcencal.com under PDS 2010. For those of you who have registered 24, thank you and lets double up those numbers, we have about double that amount of paid members to date, so lets put your memberships to good use and register today. I have attached the registration form, and register today (early registration has been extended fyi for the next couple days). Remember we will be having our CenCal Meeting in the same location on Friday October 8th, 2010, the day following PDS.
