Hello CenCal,

I have missed all of you since I have been out of the office for quite some time, but I am back!  This email is to publicly notify all of you (in case you did not attend the CenCal meeting at UC Merced when recipients were listed) of who the scholarship winners are.  It was a very competitive year for the scholarship committee since we received over 150 applications overall. Thank you for doing a very good job at making this scholarship known amongst the students at your schools.

So, let's get down to business...this year's CenCal Scholarship Recipients are:

Please note, official congratulatory letters have been mailed out to recipients early this week. They are being informed of the next four steps they need to take before they can actually receive their award/scholarship.  To the nominators, I would like to mail out a copy of the letter that was sent out to the recipients for your records. Please make sure to email me back with your correct mailing address ASAP!!! Also, I would appreciate it if you help me to encourage your respective students/winners of the four steps they need to take before they receive their award. Now, I will not tell you what those steps are because I need you to email me your mailing address so that you can receive the copy of that letter yourself and you can read and FEEL the excitement your student winners felt as they read their letters.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Also, thank you for your patience as I have not been able to attend the last two CenCal meetings.  Again, congratulations to the recipients but also to YOU the nominators for such a well done job you did at encouraging your students to apply.
