Colleagues,
We are in the process of putting together TRiO Day for the CenCal Chapter. As many of you may remember the last time a TRiO day was put together was back in 2007, and we haven't had one since. We are trying to bring in much needed money to the chapter and get this going. We had a tentative date of Monday Feb. 8th, 2010, but couldn't.
My question to you is would you #1 be willing to bring students/participants to Fresno State Univ. for TRiO Day at $25 or at $20??? #2 about how many????? and #3 the dates?????
The Dates we have are 2 either Saturday February 13th, 2010 or Monday April 5th, 2010.
Saturday, Feb. 13th 2010
No student traffic on campus
Closer/ less time to put together though.
During ETS APR i believe.
Monday April 5th, 2010
No school that Monday for High Schools, day after Spring Breaks, though.
Fresno State is in Session, therefore student clubs and atmosphere will be here.
Will be able to get tours on campus.
Gives more time after APR's for ETS/Upward Bound/SSS's.
Keep in mind we have SLC at CSU Bakersfield slated for January 29/30 as well, and some of you will be sending participants there too.
Any suggestions are welcome, but if you can get back to me asap with responses to all 3 questions posed. I will be meeting with some of the committee at 1 pm today, Friday November 6th, 2009.
