The acknowledgment of TRIO students and staff is one of the highlights of the WESTOP conference. It is a moment that we take time to reflect on our accomplishments and reaffirm our purpose. Every TRIO program has a successful story. every TRIO alumni has overcome overwhelming odds to make it in today's world. WESTOP Achievers Luncheon is a great place to hear these stories and acknowledge their accomplishments. We have all completed our APRs and found students who have completed their degrees and are working within their designated professional fields. It is time to recognize these exceptional TRIO students. Please, I urge all TRIO staff to reflect on our students who would greatly appreciate this rewarding acknowledgement for their outstanding efforts Now our hard working TRIO staff. It is time to reflect and acknowledge people who have made a difference in the lives of our students and TRIO staff. Please review the attached nominations forms. I am sure that each of our programs have people who qualify for these awards.
