Hi Everyone,

CSU and UC contingents, as well as supporters of the CA community college
system and student outreach services such as EOP, are gathering forces on
Monday, March 15 in front of the State Capitol. Organizers are already
expecting over 13,000 people - teachers, students, supporters of public
higher ed in Cali - so it looks like it will be one of the biggest
demonstrations in the state capitol in decades.  Details below, or check

March in March Details
What: Community college supporters from across California gather in
support of community colleges.
  RSVP Today
When: Monday, March 15, 2004
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: Gathering place: Raley Field Parking Lots, West Sacramento
  March: Easy one-mile walk down Capitol Mall to the State Capitol
  Rally: West Steps of the State Capitol
Parking: Buses $20
Automobiles: $6




Parking fees are necessary for rental of the Raley Field gathering site.
Parking near the Capitol will be very scarce and far more expensive.
Transportation: March participants are responsible for the transportation
to Sacramento. Limited shuttle service will be provided from the airport
and train station immediately before and after the march, on a first
come-first serve basis. If you are arriving via plane or train, e-mail

Disabled participants: Transportation for wheelchair and other assistive
device users will be available on a limited basis. Groups of mobility
impaired students are encouraged to coordinate transportation to ensure
limited waiting times for transportation.
