In the mailing lists to which I belong, members can sign up by email,
simply by sending a message to the list. Sometimes a line such as "Join
XXX" is required in the body of the message. Can members join this list
only through the Web interface?

Also, which email address would users use to subscribe and which to join
or leave the list?
