I apologize for the last email as I was told it was aligned as to having words chopped off, here is the latest on upcoming events/transitions within our chapter.  Again my apologies for the multiple emails.

Cencal members, just wanted to recap to all important entities regarding our chapter that you should all take note of over the last couple weeks:

1.  We are in transition to moving to the new listserve through Google Groups.  Some of you may have received the invitation to join on 10/12 around 10 am.  The Csufresno listserv will be unused after October 28th, 2011.  If you would like to be added contact Mike Osorio, Communications Chair, at [log in to unmask]  You may be receiving double emails in the next days until 10/28. 

2.  The PDS Committee and Board will reconvene early this Friday over a conference call to discuss PDS expenses, impression, and evaluations. If you have anything you would like for us to bring up during the call you can contact Cesar Margarito [log in to unmask] or myself.

3.  Cencal Scholarship application is out, www.westopcencal.com please note December 5th, 2011 as the deadline to submit.  For cencal members nominating please note we are asking all nominators to be paid before Dec. 5th & have attended/take part of 3 of our 5 meetings before March 5, 2012. 4.  Our Sign In Sheet was lost at sometime while going around during the meeting.  If you kept in error please contact me asap.

5.  Trio Day at our chapter will now be “A Day of Service” within our own institutions or regions.  More details & ideas to come soon.  Contact Monica Nolasco, chair [log in to unmask]

6.  SLC will now be a full-fledged CenCal Chapter Activity in the Spring.  Details to come soon:  Contact Paty Ahumada, chair [log in to unmask]

7.  Just a reminder of October 28th, being the final day to not incur the nonmembership price for PDS 2011, for those who were not paid members at the time of the conference.  Questions, contact Norma Cuevas, [log in to unmask], treasurer or myself.

8.  Our next meeting will be on December 2nd, 2011, with next Cencal meetings to follow 1/27/12 @ csumb, 3/5/12 @ westop sacramento, 4/27 @ cos, & 5/25 @ fsu.  The December 2nd, 2011 meeting will be a conference call, details to come out soon inviting you to join in.

10.  Congratulations to Kimberly Crews, friend of the Year, Omar Murillo, staff of the Year, and Cesar Margarito, director of the Year who were recognized at PDS.  Also, congratulations to Omar Murillo who is now our Fundraising Chair.  

It was great running into the majority of our members at our annual PDS, and here’s to some great APR’s and proposals we all will be working diligently all in the next few weeks/months.
