There are various methods for resetting a LISTSERV password. For instance,
you can change (or create) a LISTSERV personal password through email or
go to our web site and change it. Described below are two ways of
accomplishing this task.

Resetting LISTSERV Passwords via the web interface:

   http://listserv.csufresno.edu/cgi-bin/wa?GETPW1

1) Enter your email address

2) Enter the desired password

3) Email will be sent to you.

   a.  Reply to this email (To: [log in to unmask])

   b.  In the body of the email type:

       OK
       end

   c.  send email.

        You will get a final message that your new password has been
        registered successfully.

Resetting LISTSERV Passwords
(00.02.00)

If you have forgotten your LISTSERV password:

1.      Create a new email message.

2.      Address the message to:

                 [log in to unmask]

3.      No Subject is needed.

4.      In the body of the message, type:

                 PW DELETE
                 END

5.      Send the message.

6.      You will get a confirmation message. Reply to this message. In the body of the reply, delete all text and type:

                 OK

7.      Send the message within 48 hours or you will need to repeat the PW DELETE command.

8.      When you get the message that your password has been deleted, create another new message.

9.      Address the message to:

                 [log in to unmask]

10.     No Subject is needed.

11.     In the body of the message, type:

                 PW ADD THE.NEW.PASSWORD
                 END

         where THE.NEW.PASSWORD is the password you wish to use.

12.     Send the message.

13.     You will get a confirmation message. Reply to this message. In the body of the reply, delete all text and type:

                 OK

14.     Send the reply within 48 hours or you will need to repeat the PW ADD command.

15.     You will get a final message that your new password has been
        registered successfully. To use your new password, add
        PW=THE.LIST.PASSWORD to any commands sent to the listserv that
        require a password.
